Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to achieve plant and regional goals
  • Establish operational and financial goals with accountability measures
  • Direct accounting, shipping, receiving, operations, safety, and environment
  • Lead initiatives to meet safety, quality, and company performance standards
  • Plan budgets, labor forecasts, and capital expenditures for production
  • Support company policies and ensure compliance with EEO/AA standards
  • Ensure legal compliance to minimize risk exposure

Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Must collaborate and develop strong relationships with people to ensure successful accomplishments of plant and regional goals
  • Must be able to establish operational goals, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans, and hold management staff accountable
  • Direct all activities of the Area including accounting, shipping, receiving, operations, safety and environmental
  • Lead in a professional manner toward achieving company performance goals with emphasis on safety, quality and all company standards
  • Responsible for the planning of budgets, company assets, labor forecasts and capital expenditures for short-term and long-range production
  • Supports company's policies and procedures including AA/EEO goals
  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws to minimize risk/exposure to the company


What You'll Need
  • Ability to forecast short and long-term buying of material to meet on-time delivery schedules to our consumers
  • Ability to make sure all employees are trained and well prepared to carry out their daily tasks to ensure everyone's safety
  • Demonstrated ability to manufacture quality products that consistently meet or exceed consumer receiving specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of all areas of operations
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics is critical
  • Must be able collaborative, partnering with leaders to positively motivate team to achieve success
  • Must be able to control budgeted labor and overtime costs; as well as, maintain fiscal responsibility for all departments' budgets
  • Must be able to control inventory dollars by meeting inventory turn standards set forth by company
  • Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns
  • Past successful experience in operations, marketing, sales in a metal recycling facility or other related industry a strong plus


Your Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Master's degree preferred
