Description About the role
The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing business operations and patient service throughout all offices within their assigned market. This role will lead a market of 4 - 10 offices to deliver an outstanding patient experience and achieve revenue and contribution goals. The Area Manager is responsible for providing leadership guidance to ensure the offices are executing region/district priorities and aligning with MyEyeDr. purpose, vision, values and key initiatives. The Area Manager will attract, train and develop high performing teams, create a culture of talent development and inspire superior performance.
The Area Manager role reports to the District Manager and is a steppingstone toward becoming a District Manager with MyEyeDr. This p osition requires daily and/or overnight travel to market offices 4-5 days per week with a dditional overnight travel for training and company meetings. Ability to relocate within region or company is preferred.
The wage range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The company complies with all state and local wage and hour laws and the minimum pay range will always be at or above the applicable minimum wage.
You Will
- Build Patient Loyalty : Help our patients live their best lives by providing 5-star patient experiences so that they come back to see us year after year and refer their family and friends.
- Develop a Team : Assess and drive the market's talent and succession plan, attract and retain top talent, and build an inclusive, high performing team of General Managers.
- Drive Profitability : Continuously monitor the top and bottom-line performance of each office within the market, use key performance indicators to assess financial and operational metrics; conduct regular business reviews and engage General Managers in implementing strategies and/or corrective measures to drive profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with office staff and Doctors as well as key support partners.
- Work collaboratively with field leadership, home office partners, and human resources to drive success in your market.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
About You
- 5+ years of retail management experience
- 2+ years of multi-unit retail experience
- Optical and/or healthcare experience preferred
- BA/BS degree preferred; related work experience can substitute formal education
- Demonstrated success in providing direction and tactical support in achieving desired business results
- Experience in developing, supporting and mentoring office staff to maximize their potential
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, set priorities and ensure deadlines are met
- Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to change direction and make decisions based on changes in business needs
- Effectively communicate and exchange information with others.
- Understanding of strong customer service skills
- Basic understanding of P&L statements
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and move about the office.
