In this position...
At Ford Motor Company, we are taking our Area Managers to the next level. This member of the plant leadership team is responsible for leading change efforts within the plant in order to meet global manufacturing standards. They will support employees by removing barriers to their success, and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Lead transformation and change management efforts
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching and development of "Leaders as Teachers" at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure employees receive the necessary training, coaching and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organization.
  • Implement the Ford Production System operating systems and processes to global manufacturing standards.
  • eBusiness results (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment)
  • Remove internal barriers by getting resources and aligning objectives and systems.


Qualifications

You'll have...

Education: High school diploma, some post-secondary (college or skilled trades)
  • Broad production experience including Team Manager experience
  • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management
  • Strong ability to present in front of senior management
  • Ability to teach Ford Production System principles
  • Competent in the use of data for decision making
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems
  • Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary
  • Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technical field
  • VO Assembly Plant experience
  • Shift Manager Experience
  • Maintenance Experience either as a journeyperson or salaried employee
  • Computer Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TWOS, NGAVS, QLS, ECATS)
  • Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability preferred
