Full Job Description
As Area Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership for an assigned manufacturing area. You will lead daily execution, develop associates, meet internal and external customer commitments, and use data and continuous-improvement tools to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity performance This position is part of the Operations Team located in Loveland, CO and will be onsite. In this role, a typical day will look like: Lead daily activities so customer, safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity expectations are met. Coach, train, and develop associates; manage performance and development planning in partnership with HR. Translate customer orders, available labor, and material capacity into weekly and daily build-and-ship plans. Create and execute data-driven action plans that improve Standard Work and SQDIP performance. Allocate labor, expand cross-training, and improve staffing flexibility across the area. Lead projects and partner with planning and technical teams to address operational and process-improvement priorities. Ensure associates understand and follow company policies and required work practices. Support policy-deployment plans and the development and monitoring of area budgets. The essential requirements of the job include: A BA/BS degree in Physical Science or Engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. 1 to 3 years of leadership experience, including project-team leadership, staff supervision, or both. Experience applying Lean manufacturing methods such as Kaizen, Kanban, root-cause analysis, or countermeasures. Experience with machining, injection molding, or mechanical troubleshooting. Experience with inventory management. Experience using operational data for analysis and reporting. Experience leading work where safety, quality, and customer requirements are measured and actively managed. The compensation range for this role is $93,333 - $111,800 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
