B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and develop Area depot products leading to significant growth (+25% CAGR), owning strategy, P&L, and operations, ensuring safe, compliant, standardized performance while enabling sales growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term value creation across the Area footprint:

1/ Develop Area Strategy for Depot Services

  • Develop the multi-year, Area Depot Product strategy and provide alignment to area or country depot personnel
  • Review standard product development and operational excellence.
    Develop commercial strategy and sales engagement to grow the product. 
  • Oversee third0party depot vendors, incl. SLAs, pricing, performance, and compliance

2/ Product Growth

  • Support and supervise Growth Enablement Managers on Product Growth, Market Fit Improvements and offer new opportunities for actual customers.
  • Actively lead the important RFQs that include Depot solutions and ensure the proposal submitted is comprehensive, competitive, and within  the parameters set by the Global/Regional product
  • Manage strategic procurement, vendor relationships, and shipping line relationships (respecting Chinese Walls)
  • Identify growth opportunities for the Depot product within the specific Area markets
  • Optimize existing product features to enhance performance and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the development of new features that align with market demands

3/ Go-to-Market Strategy Enhancement:

  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to refine go-to-market strategies
  • Ensure that these strategies effectively position the Depot product in the market
  • Address customer pain points and coordinate solution initiatives

4/ Operations in Depot

  • Ensure safe, compliant, and incident0free depot operations across all sites. 
  • Implement and enforce QHSSE standards, controls, and audits across depot activities.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for major safety, compliance, or operational breaches
  • Enable operational performance of the depots to meet customer requirements
  • Drive operational standardization, routines and measurements to ensure consistent management and reporting
  • Optimise our operations by bringing the best possible digitization across depot processes. 
  • Ensure depot operations meet customer service level and productivity targets
  • Responsible for ensuring that developed products deliver on targets, NPS and that necessary controls are in place for the execution of that business (both financially, operationally and in terms of QHSSE)

5/ Financial and Commercial:

  • Own and maximize depot EBIT and cost0serve performance
  • Develop and monitor Area Depot product targets (to be signed by AMD)
  • Support sales management in establishing value proposition and sales channel target setting
  • Manage depot product performance in Area & ensure targets are met

6/ Manage Area Depot product development and local IP cases:

  • In conjunction with procurement as required, establish contracts with key 3rd party vendors. 
  • Establish business cases for asset investments supporting the local and global L&S strategy as well as accountable/measured on realization of the benefits of such business cases
  • Manage depot product performance in Area & ensure targets are met

7/ Establish team with Local Services expertise at Area level:

  • Buildand develop team with strong logistics capabilities and product expertise
  • Act as SMEs and support the Area Sales teams in large-scale pursuits and solution design, including customer visits as required
  • Share best practices with the Global Local Services team

C. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Have at least 15 years of experience in running Container Depot/ICD businesses. Prefer candidates with experience in developing new ICD/Depots or warehouses.
  • People Leadership & Team Development : Leads and motivates teams across multiple depots, creating a positive work environment and developing talent through coaching and clear direction
  • Communication & Stakeholder  Management: Communicates clearly with teams, senior management, customers, and partners; effectively manages stakeholder expectations and cross-functional alignment
  • Logistics Operations & Process Excellence: Deep expertise in depot, warehousing, and transportation operations; ensures safe, compliant, and efficient processes across sites by applying best practices in supply chain management (e.g. optimizing yard/warehouse flow and inventory) and continuously monitoring key performance indicators to drive high efficiency
  • Continuous Improvement & Efficiency: Drives ongoing performance improvement by leveraging data and technology to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows; fosters a culture of lean operations, safety, and cost efficiency (using data-driven analysis to refine processes and reduce waste
  • Strategic Planning & Vision: Defines long-term regional depot strategy aligned with broader business goals; anticipates market trends and adapts operations to support future growth and competitive advantage
  • Financial Acumen & Performance Management: Holds P&L responsibility and budgetary oversight for depot operations; uses strong analytical skills and market insight to make informed decisions (e.g. optimizing inventory levels, cost-to-serve, and vendor contracts) that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer service targets
  • Depot Services expertise and understanding of Local customer needs for Depot Services (incl. vertical specifications)
  • Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail and drive to serve customers
