Full Job Description
We have an immediate career opportunity for a qualified Area Fleet Manager . Asan Area Fleet Manager , you will coordinate the procurement, inspection, assignment, maintenance, repair, and disposal of company-wide automotive fleet. You may participate in or contribute to negotiations for fleet purchases and leases, as well as conduct/ participate in safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., hazardous material handling). In addition, you will investigate any accidents involving transportation vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Oversees and facilitates the efficient and economical operation and maintenance of all DHL owned or leased vehicles and related equipment - Administers vehicle fleet policies regarding the purchase and disposal of vehicles, insurance and expense reports, accident reviews, safety and maintenance - Ensures the necessary number of vehicles is operational and available for use when needed - Establishes and monitors parts inventory control system, fleet tracking system and vehicle numbering system - Ensures that the inspection, licensing, and insurance of all vehicles are in compliance with company policy and applicable governmental regulations - Communicates and coordinates with outside vendors who perform fleet maintenance - Assists in the development and management of the fleet operating budget - Supervises two or more staff - Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff - Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes Skills & Qualifications: - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 10+ years' experience in related field. - Excellent Automotive Mechanical Aptitude Required - Excellent creative thinking, analytical skills - Excellent decision maker - Inspirational leader and motivator - Highest standards of communication skills are essential - Excellent developer and team builder - Highest levels of Integrity - Knowledge of DHL networks is essential - Network of relevant internal contacts desirable - Good knowledge of Airline and airport facility operating procedures - Proven record in achieving targets/objectives - Navigation of various data and web-based applications - Good written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills - Time Management / Good attendance history Employee Benefits & Incentives DHL Express benefits and incentive offerings are designed to reflect a substantial experience for both employees and their dependents during their career and life journey.
