If you are looking to expand business partnering skills, develop influencing capabilities, and lead high-visibility projects, come join the Structural Heart US Commercial Finance team. This Principal Financial Analyst role provides key finance support to Structural Heart sales leaders while also partnering cross-functionally with Contracting, Pricing, and Marketing teams. This role sits within the broader Interventional Cardiology Therapies Finance team and reports to the Finance Director of US Structural Heart Commercial.

Provide financial and business partnership to the US Structural Heart Area Directors and District Managers.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide financial leadership and expertise to the Area Directors and District Managers to support quarterly revenue results
  • Develop strong business partner relationships and become a trusted advisor to Sales Leaders regarding future results
  • Build financial models to support the development of new strategic contracts with customers designed to grow our market share
  • Proactively review customer quarterly rebate tier achievement to adjust accrual rates as needed and identify opportunities to help our customers achieve the next tier in their contracts
  • Partner with the Rebates team to develop a deep understanding of rebate processes and procedures to ensure Sales Leaders are knowledgeable about how this impacts their results and customers
  • Review contract performance to drive continued performance or identify needed changes, and use insights to continue developing future strategies
  • Partner with Total Rewards and Sales Compensation to ensure commissions are paid out appropriately and capture any manual adjustments that may be necessary
  • Develop a strong understanding of field compensation plans to help motivate the field to drive results
  • Work with Sales Leaders on quota methodology and distribute to the field
  • Drive quarter-end revenue close by partnering closely with Sales Leaders and serving as a conduit to other internal functions to work as efficiently as possible, including Enterprise Accounts, Rebates, Contracting, Pricing, Credit, Marketing, and Operations
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling as required by business partners or the OU


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience


Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting marketing, commercial, or sales organizations
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Experience supporting demand planning or revenue forecasting activities
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$110,400.00 - $165,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
