Area Director of Engineering

As Area Director of Engineering, you'll lead the maintenance and engineering operations of the property, ensuring all building systems, equipment, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. You'll manage a team, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with safety and brand standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining a well-functioning, guest-ready environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will be the backbone of our hotel's operations, ensuring all systems and equipment run smoothly for our guests' comfort and safety.
  • Your daily tasks will include managing maintenance staff, overseeing repairs and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
  • You will report to the General Manager.
  • Starting as a chief engineer can lead to a variety of opportunities within the hospitality industry, such as regional engineering director, director of rooms, or even a corporate-level position in hotel operations.
Education & Experience
  • A college degree or two years of hotel experience
  • Previous experience in this exact position
  • Previous experience in a similar or related position
  • A combination of education and experience
