Position Overview

The Area Director is responsible for leading the overall performance, growth, and operational success of their assigned market(s). This role provides strategic leadership across sales, operations, customer experience, and team development while ensuring alignment with the Company's Purpose, Mission, and Values.

The Area Director oversees branch performance, supports and develops Sales Managers and Roofing Consultants, drives profitability, and ensures operational consistency across all locations within their region. This leader plays a critical role in building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and creating a culture rooted in accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends.
  • Drive regional performance through strategic planning, accountability, and operational execution.
Operations Oversight:
  • Oversee and support multiple Sales Managers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. If no Sales Managers are in the market, perform the duties of a Sales Manager, including leading sales teams and overseeing production.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of each branch/district, ensuring operational excellence and consistency.
  • Own the profit and loss responsibility for the entire region, driving financial performance and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure operational processes align with company standards and support scalability across markets.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and support teams to ensure alignment and execution of company initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Recruit new Roofing Consultants.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Managers and their teams, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Assist with the training and onboarding of new Roofing Consultants.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to support professional growth.
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Promote and uphold Apple Roofing's Purpose, Mission, and Values throughout the region.
Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing customer service processes and addressing escalated issues.
  • Maintain quality standards across all operations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Support a culture focused on delivering a sweeter experience at every customer touchpoint.
General Duties:
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment across all locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Support company growth initiatives and operational improvements as needed.


Qualifications (Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities)
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong management skills to effectively oversee multiple locations and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive market strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Knowledge of financial management, including profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, cost control, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the roofing industry is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to walk long distances.
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, humid, and/or rainy weather conditions.
