Area Construction Manager

Sineath Construction
Full-Time • Leadership Role • Onsite + Field-Based

Office Location: Weaverville, NC

About the Role

Sineath Construction is growing, and we're adding a proven Area Construction Manager to lead performance across multiple active job sites. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing 3-4 Field Managers, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, quality stays high, schedules stay tight, and customers feel supported every step of the way.

If you're a builder at heart but operate like an owner-forecasting 30-90 days out, coaching field teams, making operational decisions with confidence, and protecting both margin and reputation-this role is built for you.

What You'll Own
  • Lead and manage 3-4 Field Managers, including coaching, performance accountability, and talent development.
  • Ensure all projects have baseline schedules, are properly launched, and followed through company SOPs.
  • Provide clear 60-day completion projections to both internal teams and clients.
  • Drive quality control, safety standards, and customer satisfaction across all assigned projects.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Estimating, and Design for strong pre-construction handoffs and smooth project starts.
  • Lead warranty resolution with urgency and professionalism.
  • Be a culture carrier-modeling accountability, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Handle conflict resolution and client escalations with tact, urgency, and emotional intelligence.
  • Inspect job sites regularly to verify schedule accuracy, trade partner performance, and workmanship standards.

Leadership & Culture Expectations
  • Maintain a company-first perspective-operating above the project level with a focus on results and team development.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate Field Managers. Address performance gaps early and professionally.
  • Encourage ongoing professional development-GC License, technical training, continuing education.
  • Anticipate problems before they surface-build plans, not reactions.
  • Hold the bar high. Be visible. Set the tone.

Skills & Competencies Needed to Win Here
  • Strong leadership presence-you set expectations clearly and follow through.
  • Excellent communicator-comfortable delivering both updates and accountability conversations.
  • Strategic forecaster-always working 30-90 days out, with margin and schedule in mind.
  • Strong business acumen-understands production impact on financial performance.
  • Organized and process-driven-operates with systems, not just intuition.
  • Skilled in client communication, expectation-setting, and maintaining trust during tough conversations.

Work Structure & Expectations
  • Reports to Operations Leadership / Ownership
  • Mix of field presence, jobsite inspections, and strategic office planning
  • Full-time salaried with schedule autonomy tied to results and visibility.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's in Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in residential or commercial construction operations
  • Proven leadership of multiple Superintendents or PMs simultaneously
  • Experience hiring, developing, and managing trade partners, vendors, and internal staff
  • High integrity, steady under pressure, and confident making field-level decisions
