About the PositionWe are seeking an Architecture Manager to support our growing architectural team and business unit. The position will report out of our Jacksonville, FL office and work closely with our Vice President of Architecture. The ideal candidate possesses 15+ years' progressive leadership experience in an architectural design firm, with a drive to provide leadership to a diverse architectural and interior design team. The candidate will work closely with the Vice President of architecture to set goals and strategy around employee development and recruiting, and lead the operational aspects of the practice. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in the delivery of architectural projects, proven leadership skills and a strong work ethic. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate with Vice President on overall strategic direction of the group
- Align resources in our multiple offices to meet existing and future growth, goals and objectives across our service industries (including federal, municipal, industrial and commercial clientele)
- Recruiting and hiring for all offices
- Scheduling resources for all programs
- Process improvement for intake of architecture design work from the different programs.
- Employee development
- Some project management based on project type and group needs
- Effective people management and leadership skills
Marketing/Project Pursuits- Support pursuits in concert with other Pond Leadership and our Marketing team
Operational - Responsible for day-to-day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics
- Responsible for working with Project Managers and Design Team for day to day decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and project budgets
- Responsible for assessment of resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needs
- Review and approve of new hires
- Responsible for training, mentoring, and professional development of direct reports and program team members
Technical- Oversee and actively manage our Quality Assurance Program
- Assist the architectural practice in branding Pond as an industry recognized technical expert
Qualifications:- B. Arch or M. Arch at an accredited university
- Architectural Licensure is required. NCARB certification is preferred
- 15+ years of related experience including people and project management
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.
