Project Manager - Faith

Position Summary - Location: Remote/Mix of some days in the office

Join our partner firm, INVISION Architecture, as a Project Manager for our Faith Studio (religious market sector), where you will lead the planning, design, and execution of inspiring worship and ministry environment projects that strengthen communities and support each client's mission. This role is ideal for a technically strong architect who is passionate about delivering exceptional faith-based projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the design and construction process. The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects from programming through construction administration, ensuring design excellence, code compliance, technical accuracy, and successful project delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of faith-based architectural projects from concept through construction completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership with a strong emphasis on building envelope systems, constructability, detailing, and building code compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural construction documents and specifications.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety regulations, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to architects, designers, and technical staff throughout all phases of design.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and design reviews while fostering long-term client relationships.
  • Review drawings for quality assurance and technical accuracy before project milestones.
  • Support permitting efforts and respond to plan review comments.
  • Participate in construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, site observations, punch lists, and resolution of field issues.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on project planning, staffing, and business development opportunities within the faith-based market.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensed Architect (RA) preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered.
  • 7+ years post licensed architectural experience with progressively increasing project management responsibilities.
  • Experience managing faith-based, institutional, community, or similar complex architectural projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building envelope design, waterproofing, exterior wall systems, roofing systems, and technical detailing.
  • Thorough knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), accessibility standards, life safety requirements, and applicable local building codes.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit required; experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong client relationship and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • NCARB certification.
  • Experience with renovations, additions, and adaptive reuse projects within occupied facilities.
  • Understands the financial models for project fees, consultant fees, hour monitoring, profitability.
  • Responsive design solutions that first listen, interpret, create, present, confirm, then produce a holistic project ready to be constructed using various styles of architecture.
  • Construction administration experience on complex architectural projects.
  • Willing to travel, average 1-2x per month to projects primarily in the southeast
  • Willing to participate in collaborative, sometimes Charrette like, onsite workshops with clients
