Dewberry’s Architecture Team is seeking a energetic Project Manager with well-rounded experience to join our Orlando, FL office.  Experience in Federal, State and Local Governments, Community Facilities, Civic and Justice building types is desirable. 

 

Dewberry’s Architecture Practice has an exciting opening for the right individual to leverage their business development, client management, project management, and design skills to be an integral piece for the office’s opportunity and growth. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone who wants to apply a varied skills set and is ready to take on the challenges of growing our practice.  The right individual will be responsible for managing a growing list of municipal and state clients and projects.

Responsibilities

How will you do this?

  • Collaborate with the Architectural Leadership to successfully deliver projects.
  • Work closely with Clients, managing relationships, expectations, and day-to-day individual project needs.
  • Participate with internal Teams to conceptualize, design, and produce project documentation.
  • Interface with external Consultants to coordinate disciplines, manage contractual relationships, and maintain project schedules.
  • Join in Business Development and Marketing activities, independently and in conjunction with others, including RFPs and Interviews.
  • Set, monitor, and maintain project budgets, work plans, and schedules through all phases of the design process.

  • Professional Architecture degree from an accredited University is required.
  • Licensed Architect required, with ability for reciprocal licensure in additional states.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborative approach to all aspects of the practice.
  • Expert knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction, as required.
  • Responsible for developing project scope, fees and managing project budget, client/consultant invoices, agreements, and contracts.
  • Comfortable and experienced to participate in Business Development and marketing activities.
  • Responsible for managing project team resources; advises Office Operations Director of schedules and staffing resource needs.
  • Develops proposals with assistance of PIC and/or Office Director; takes part in client interviews and development of marketing pursuits.
  • Reviews and confirms document accuracy for client(s), consultant(s) and project team(s).
  • Responsible for projects compliance with Dewberry QMS processes; evaluates and assures review recommendations are implemented; pledges that “lessons learned” are communicated to all staff.
  • A design portfolio demonstrating experience will be required. 

 

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
