2. Job Title: Federal Report Architect
Position Summary
The Federal Report Architect leads the design, development, and implementation of enterprise reporting solutions and compliance dashboards tailored for federal agencies. This role bridges complex federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, FFATA, DATA Act) and IT data architectures, ensuring secure, accurate, and scalable reporting pipelines across agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy: Lead the architectural strategy, design, and implementation of data warehouses, business intelligence (BI) systems, and statutory federal reporting engines.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all data models, schemas, and output reports strictly adhere to federal mandates, OMB circulars, and regulatory reporting standards.
Pipeline & Model Design: Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and dimensional data models to aggregate multi-agency or multi-departmental financial, operational, and compliance data.
Security & ATO Support: Collaborate with ISSOs and security teams to maintain FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 security controls across reporting databases and dashboard applications.
Stakeholder Management: Translate complex regulatory requirements into technical specifications for development teams and present high-level dashboards to executive agency leadership.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years in enterprise BI/data architecture, with at least 3+ years specifically supporting federal or DoD contracts.
Technical Mastery:
BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Cognos.
Database & Data Warehousing: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Oracle, or SQL Server.
ETL Frameworks: Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or Apache NiFi.
Federal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of federal reporting standards (e.g., DATA Act, SAM.gov integrations, USA Spending data structures, or DoD reporting protocols).
Clearance: Ability to obtain or maintain a federal Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics / Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or TOGAF.
Prior experience with fed-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP NS2, CGI Advantage, Momentum).
