Full Job Description
Arup's Toronto Architecture team is seeking a motivated Architect to join our growing Transit and Infrastructure practice. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of major public infrastructure projects, including transit stations, transportation facilities, and complex retrofit programs.

As a key member of multidisciplinary project teams, you will collaborate with engineers, and consultants to develop integrated design solutions throughout all phases of project delivery. You will support project coordination, technical production, and construction administration

This position is ideal for an architect who enjoys collaborative problem-solving, technical project delivery, and working within highly integrated design teams.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Major transit and transportation infrastructure projects
  • Existing facility modernization and retrofit programs
  • Station architecture, public spaces, and support facilities
  • Multidisciplinary design coordination efforts
  • Projects spanning design development, production, and construction administration phases

The Opportunity
  • Support the architectural design and technical delivery of transit and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, models, details, and construction documentation.
  • Assist in project delivery during production, tender, and contract administration phases.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and help resolve technical and constructability issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Support quality assurance reviews and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design solutions.
  • Assist senior team members in project planning, coordination, and documentation management.
  • Engages in client-facing activities, ensuring effective communication
  • Nurtures relationships, both internally and externally and provides guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team

Is This Role Right for You?
  • We're looking for a talented and motivated architect with:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 4 - 6 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and familiarity with building systems.
  • Experience supporting production and contract administration phases.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience on transit, transportation, infrastructure, or public-sector projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience delivering retrofit and rehabilitation projects is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
  • You must submit a Portfolio to be considered for this position
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Microsoft Office Suite,
  • Autodesk Forma, Bluebeam studio, and Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset

Toronto Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $95,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
