Full Job Description
The Leidos NISC IV program has an opening for an Architect in Oklahoma City, OK.

The candidate must create and review designs and drawings as required and necessary for the alteration, modernization, or expansion of new FAA facilities to support and plan for the integration of National Airspace System (NAS) modernization projects and program systems, components and equipment. Architectural services must be provided for a wide range of engineering disciplines in support of NAS Implementation programs and projects. Architectural expertise must be utilized in the design, construction, safety, installation, implementation, management, coordination, and efficiency of the NAS. Typical services must include the preparation of drawings of structures and facilities.

Drafting expertise must be utilized in the design, construction, safety, installation, implementation, coordination, and efficiency of the NAS. Must perform analysis research, studies and design in support of facilities planning issues to include, but not limited to, land use, ground traffic circulation, building functions, building utilization, building modifications, cost estimating and utilities distribution systems.

This is a full time, in office position in Oklahoma City, OK.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide Automated Computer-Aided Drafting (AutoCAD) drawing and database support which can include the production and maintenance of facility baseline, facility record drawings, facility design, architecture/engineering drawings and construction documents.
  • Perform construction administration, which would include attending and presenting at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings, responding to RFI's (Requests for Information), discussing construction schedules, reviewing and returning submittals to make sure the contractors are in line with design specifications, creating RFP's (Requests for Proposals), providing periodic construction inspections of work progress, and identifying any discrepancies
  • Validate electronic media for compliance with MMAC CAD standards, incorporated as-built drawings of completed construction projects into the facility databases and plan layouts.
  • Provide technical expertise to solve facility design. Conduct facility surveys, field verifying existing conditions and newly constructed areas or buildings and provide recommended layouts for organizations and facilities.
  • All designs shall be in compliance with current city, state & federal codes and regulations, and executive orders on high performance sustainable building and administrative space orders.
  • Assist with reviews and coordination of MMAC organizations in a timely manner.
  • Provide drawing and specifications for project team.
  • Schedule conferences with FAA managers and appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Notify AMP stakeholders such as user, telecommunications, and moving coordinator of the construction date as soon as it is established.
  • Schedule preliminary and final inspections.
  • Provide project close out documentation (e.g. as-built drawings, AMP-300/OCAT turnover documents, capitalization documents, etc.).
  • Maintain/update project information (completion date, construction cost, etc.) in Archibus.
  • Prepare special drawings data, and reports which can include presentation drawings for both internal and external organizations.
  • Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.).
  • Assist others with technical solutions, practices, and procedures.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires BS degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domain.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
