Your Role As a Gensler Project Architect - Critical Facilities , you will collaborate with our Practice Area Leaders and Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. What You Will Do - Collaborate on design projects in the critical facilities, life sciences, and healthcare practice areas, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and documentation
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
- Assist in resolving complex technical and design issues
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school
- Licensure required
- 10+ years of experience in the profession of architectural design
- Experience within Critical Facilities projects (i.e. data centers, command and control centers, high-performance computing, etc.) healthcare projects, or similarly complex projects (i.e. science/labs/national labs, light-industrial/manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, healthcare, aviation & transportation, etc.) preferred
- Proficiency with SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required
- Strong Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office experience desired. Enscape also beneficial
- Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
- Experience working directly with contractors
- Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
- Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions
- Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
- Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
- Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable. Especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification

**The base salary range will be estimated between $98,500 - $120,000. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
