Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Architect Drive innovative solutions for suite of platform components and services that power Akamai product offerings. Create end-to-end architectural designs, focusing on meeting defined objectives around availability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with development teams to implement designs. Build consensus around architectural decisions to provide stable and secure platform. Design solutions for software and configuration deployments, database, control plane, and platform security. Program prototypes of new product ideas and concepts. Required Qualification:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus four (4) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role. Alternatively, will accept bachelors's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus six (6) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role.

Must have: Four (4) years of experience with the following: Architecting microservices solutions; Implementing multi-cloud strategies with Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, and Wasabi; Developing software in Go, Java, and C#/.NET; Working with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, BoltDB, and Redis; Implementing security solutions like Zero-Trust Encryption and working on organizational compliance initiatives for FIPS, SOC2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, and GDPR; Managing data storage and backup solutions using Restic, Rclone; Designing solutions for infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm; Setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Github; Monitoring system performance with Prometheus and Datadog; Leading AI solution implementations for chatbots, knowledge bases and other integrations; and Managing full product lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery in agile environments.

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $186,160 - $263,600 /year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
