Architect Advisor to help accelerate our cloud migration, automation, and AI-enabled platform strategy. This role reports to Director, Enterprise Architecture.
This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City, Missouri location.

How You Will Make an Impact- Partner with application teams across the organization to deliver strategic consulting on cloud migration, platform modernization, and the responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders enterprise-wide to identify, design, and implement scalable infrastructure and platform services.
- Enable access to cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions that support business and technology objectives.
- Drive the adoption of AI and automation capabilities, helping teams improve efficiency, innovation, and operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate business and technical requirements to recommend and deliver the right cloud and platform solutions.
- Influence platform and product roadmap priorities by finding opportunities for feature enhancements and innovation based on evolving solution needs.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships to accelerate technology transformation and maximize the value of cloud and AI investments.
What You Bring to the Team (Required)- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years technical experience.
- 3+ years' experience in administering SaaS Based products
- Diverse variety of technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Java, Microsoft, databases, virtualization, monitoring, automation technologies
- Extensive experience with public cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google, etc.
- Experience with AI/ML or generative AI capabilities in enterprise environments, including cloud AI services, model integration, prompt-driven solutions, AI assistants, or responsible AI governance
- Expert knowledge of DNS, Load Balancing, DB Clustering, and High Availability as it relates to all tiers of architecture
- Proven background in scripting and development: Python, Node.js
- Ability to assess AI use cases, translate business needs into technical solution patterns, and communicate AI architecture considerations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with automated deployment technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code, container management and deployment
- Ability to work in high stress environment with both tactical and strategic deliveries
- The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, task driven, and have superb communication skills
- Works effectively with others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems
- Craft solution collateral including solution documents, develop level of effort estimates, risk assessment
- Work cohesively with other technology practices to provide seamless multi-disciplinary services integration for application reams

Additional Assets (Preferred)- Experience in design and development of system architecture for the IaaS and PaaS platform
- Develop automation tools to optimize infrastructure management including provisioning, update, backup, failover and disaster recovery
- Evaluate and implement cloud technologies and capabilities to increase service availability, improve performance, and optimize cost
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled technologies, including machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, and cloud-native AI services, to improve business outcomes, operational efficiency, and developer productivity
- Build and implement standards on configuration management, system and application infrastructure, security, and performance monitoring
- Effectively communicate design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Document system architectures, systems configurations, and technical operational processes and policies
- Collaborate with data, security, architecture, and application teams to define AI solution patterns, governance guardrails, integration approaches, and operational support models
- Solve complex operation and performance issues
- Experience with AWS in production environments with complex infrastructure requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, CloudFormation
- Strong scripting skills, i.e., Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling
