Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cloud Systems Administrator to support our cloud infrastructure initiatives, focusing on AWS GovCloud solutions for the Veterans Health Administration Office of Connected Care (VHA OCC). This position will be fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code (IaC), experience in implementing and integrating cloud-based solutions, and strong communication skills to coordinate adoption and best practices across the organization.

  • Collaborate with contracted development teams to support deployments, integrations, and implement systems that align with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of critical workflow processes, ensuring a focus on security and efficiency
  • Contribute to the observability, monitoring, and optimization of AWS microservices architecture
  • Monitor and track progress within the Agile Framework and tools supported in the environment
  • Help evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance our capabilities
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of processes to boost team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide integration and SRE support across numerous application development project teams, including frequent and effective communication
  • Provide cross-functional support services to stakeholders during development and troubleshooting
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
