POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Manager is responsible for supervising and hands on coordination of activities for manufacturing, and shipping of water products. This position promotes continuous improvement and a culture of idea sharing and implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accomplishes manufacturing and shipping results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reporting results; hiring, coaching, counseling, and developing employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests and resolving issues
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Ensures that time and production records are properly maintained
  • Facilitate troubleshooting sessions to pinpoint issues and solutions (vendor problems, quality issues)
  • Utilize methodologies to continuously improve productivity, safety and quality; focuses on CI including root cause analysis, efficiencies, etc.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, worker safety and product quality
  • Metric based focus around Quality, Delivery, Safety, Cost, Safety and Morale
  • Facilitate problem solving with operators to develop solutions to root-cause problems
  • Conduct team meetings weekly and leader meetings daily to keep everyone current with manufacturing schedules and quality issues.
  • Proactively identifies operational needs, including new processes, capabilities, and methods and turns them into clear, actionable plans that enhance safety, productivity, and overall operational excellence.
  • Maintains a strong daily presence on the production floor, engaging directly with teams to understand real-time needs, verifying that procedures are being followed, and ensure work is performed in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Aligns and standardizes operational processes across departments to ensure consistency, quality, and smooth workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in operations management, logistics or related fields or equivalent in experience
  • Minimum of five years' experience supervising or leading a team of production employees required
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principals and tools, as well as an ability to apply that knowledge
  • Knowledge of materials, warehouse processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective purchase and shipping of product.
  • Experience in general construction and installation projects.
  • Ability to set goals based on company and department objectives and achieve results through others
  • Ability to develop and coach a team of individuals
  • Possess working knowledge of all activities within operations

The starting target salary range is $95,000 - $115,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; vacation and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
