Full Job Description
Position:  APRN- Surgical Associates 
Location: 1862 Old Lebanon Road, Hearthside Professional Center beside Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky
Schedule: Full time position

Position Summary:
The APRN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in the surgical office setting. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, providing preoperative and postoperative care, assisting with surgical procedures as appropriate, and educating patients and families. The APRN collaborates with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform neurological physical examinations.
• Provides wound care and evaluates surgical sites and postoperative recovery.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages patients within the scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with surgical procedures and office-based procedures as appropriate.
• Performs procedures within the APRN's education, training, certification, and scope of practice.
• Educates patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.

What We're Looking For:
• Master's degree in with emphasis as nurse practitioner
• Valid KY RN and APRN license
• A minimum of 1-2 years of APRN experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above is preferred.
