Full Job Description
Provides comprehensive healthcare to patients in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff in a clinic setting, including medical evaluation, treatment, counseling and referrals.

Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, best practice with all Core Measures compliant.
  2. Documents care provision per standards.
  3. Collaborates with physicians and other health care providers
  4. Evaluates, treats, counsels, and refers patients as appropriate in assigned settings (peri-op, inpatient, ER, and/or outpatient).
  5. Examines patients, including discussing medical history and symptoms
  6. Provides direct care and follow-up for patients in assigned setting (peri-op, inpatient, ER, and/or outpatient).
  7. Writes prescriptions according to protocols
  8. Performing preoperative assessment and post-operative follow-up visits to monitor patient progress.
  9. Conducting inpatient surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon
  10. Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame.
  11. Engages in departmental/hospital committees, PI projects, educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members.
  12. Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned.
  13. Seeks training, educational, certification, and enhancement in focus are/specialty.
