Applications Developer III for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will contribute to the design, development, and support of enterprise applications using modern technologies and development frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical solutions while collaborating across teams and gaining exposure to both distributed and legacy technology environments.
Required Qualifications of the Applications Developer III:- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development, systems testing, application support, or related information technology functions.
- Experience developing, enhancing, and supporting distributed applications within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, Python, and MongoDB.
- Experience utilizing Git for source control and Jenkins for build and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices, testing methodologies, and code review processes.
- Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting production environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative settings.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Applications Developer III:- Interest in learning and supporting mainframe technologies.
- Experience integrating modern applications with legacy platforms.
- Exposure to enterprise application modernization initiatives.
- Understanding of hybrid technology environments that include both distributed and traditional systems.
- Experience working across multiple technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and modern development toolsets.
Responsibilities of the Applications Developer III:- Design, develop, test, implement, and support distributed applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Build and maintain solutions utilizing JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, Python, MongoDB, and related technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to established development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues, support production systems, and implement enhancements as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners, developers, analysts, and technical teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Document technical designs, code changes, support procedures, and integration activities while contributing to modernization efforts.
Work Location: Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday in Columbia, SC, with additional onsite attendance as needed based on business requirements.
