Job Summary
Hiring Range: $83,000.00 - $90,000.00 AnnuallyThis position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday - Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, subject to change.

Performs professional-level information technology work developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise business applications, workflow automations, integrations, and technical solutions supporting County operations. Duties include analyzing business requirements, developing scalable applications and automated workflows, supporting system integrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing ongoing application support utilizing modern development tools, low-code/no-code platforms, databases, APIs, and cloud-based services. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, configures, tests, implements, and maintains enterprise business applications and workflow automation solutions.
  • Analyzes business processes, operational needs, and technical requirements to identify automation and system improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with departments, stakeholders, vendors, and technical staff to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Develops applications utilizing modern development tools, low-code/no-code platforms, databases, APIs, scripting technologies, and cloud-based services.
  • Develops and maintains workflow automations, approvals, notifications, and integrations between enterprise systems and third-party applications.
  • Designs and maintains application data structures and system configurations to ensure functionality, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves application, integration, workflow, and system issues.
  • Performs testing, debugging, validation, deployment, and quality assurance activities for applications and automated solutions.
  • Monitors application performance and reliability and implements enhancements and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manages application lifecycle activities including development, testing, deployment, release management, version control, and maintenance.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, workflow diagrams, training materials, and user support resources.
  • Provides technical assistance, training, and ongoing support related to enterprise applications and automated business solutions.
  • Ensures compliance with County policies, procedures, governance standards, security requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Researches emerging technologies, software enhancements, and industry best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects, system upgrades, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • May provide technical guidance and project coordination to staff and users.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience
  • Three years of professional experience in application development, systems analysis, workflow automation, enterprise application support, or related information technology work.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, project management, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise business applications, workflow automations, and systems integrations.
  • Experience working with low-code/no-code development platforms, cloud-based services, databases, and APIs.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, or similar enterprise application environments.
Licenses/Certificates
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Compliance within six months of employment based on regular access to the Sheriff's Office buildings, systems, and/or networks.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.

Work Conditions

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment and remote work environment dependent on Department discretion and business needs; some travel may be required.
