Full Job Description
Leidos is seeking an Application Tester for a technical development program of 200+ FTE supporting the Sponsor's Attribute/Entitlement Services within the IDAM/ICAM space. The Test Engineer will join an established, high-performing team supporting two web-based applications with extensive user interfaces serving a large end-user population, as well as organizations utilizing the applications web services. The ideal candidate will have testing experience, both in performing manual testing of web-based applications as well as testing automation experience. The candidate will work on a team comprised of developers, database administrators, systems engineers, security engineers, as well as program managers and a scrum master. The ideal candidate will be familiar with agile principles, specifically scrum. The candidate will be joining a team of two testers currently supporting the applications, and will be expected to master testing on both applications to ensure that the applications have sufficient test coverage. The typical work week for the candidate is 40 hours (eight-hour days), with core hours being from 9 AM to 3 PM daily.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
  • Execute automated regression suites and analyze results to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA peers to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to test planning, case design, and documentation.
  • Perform manual testing (functional, exploratory, regression) when needed.
  • Report and track defects to closure in coordination with development teams.
  • Stay updated with emerging test automation tools and techniques.


Required Skills

  • Software professional experience in QA with a focus on automation.
  • Strong knowledge of automation the framework/tool Katalon.
  • Experience in API testing
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


Desired Skills
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
  • Experience with version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Lo)
