Application Development & Integration Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale application and integration solutions within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role will be responsible for defining end-to-end solution architectures, driving modernization initiatives, establishing integration standards, and providing technical leadership across application, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in enterprise application architecture, cloud-native technologies, API design, and integration platforms with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Design scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient application architectures for enterprise platforms and technology solutions.
- Define end-to-end solution architectures encompassing application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
- Translate complex business requirements into enterprise-scale technical solutions aligned with strategic technology objectives.
- Develop and present solution architectures, reference architectures, integration strategies, technical designs, and technology roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
- Lead architecture discovery and design workshops with business and technology teams to identify requirements, challenges, and optimal solutions.
- Design and govern API-first architectures, microservices frameworks, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Architect integrations between internal and external enterprise systems using modern integration technologies and middleware platforms.
- Establish architectural principles, development standards, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Evaluate existing applications and platforms and drive modernization initiatives utilizing cloud-native, service-oriented, and microservices architectures.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, resiliency, observability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to organizational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, modern development practices, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-scale application and integration solutions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other highly regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and methodologies.
- Strong expertise in Distributed Systems, Microservices Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale business applications supporting complex operational, regulatory, and workflow-driven processes.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, API lifecycle management, enterprise integration frameworks, middleware platforms, and messaging technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application services.
- Hands-on experience with technologies including Java, Python, Spring Boot, .NET Core, Angular, React, Shell Scripting, and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of application security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software design principles.
- Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, enterprise data integration, and data management practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
- Strong experience leading architecture governance, technical reviews, and cross-functional technology initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience integrating applications across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Assurance, Regulatory, or Governance ecosystems.
- Knowledge of workflow automation, case management, document management, governance, and regulatory reporting platforms.
- Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures within highly regulated environments.
- Proven track record leading enterprise architecture initiatives, digital transformation programs, or large-scale platform implementations.
- Relevant certifications in Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Integration Technologies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern software engineering practices.
