Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking an Application Developer to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
This role will include research and development solutions, preserving existing applications, unit testing, and documentation of results using established standards and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, and Web Services for developing web-based software solutions.
  • Knowledge of SCRUM and ability to work effectively in a hybrid project management setting.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office including Outlook.
  • Experience with .NET Framework 4.0 or higher.
  • Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming, MVC, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience developing web services using SOAP and REST.
  • Proven expertise in Power Automate including advanced scripting and use of connectors.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of enterprise authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and SAML.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to implement, test, and debug functionality.
  • Capable of working with both business and technical staff independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to deliver high-quality work within established schedules and deadlines.
  • Familiar with IT standard documentation and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the support and maintenance of the Nevada Tax Center, TAS, Interfaces, Business Intelligence, and other legacy applications and interfaces.
  • Assist with other IT projects as necessary to free up agency application developer staff for other priorities.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Assist in necessary development efforts for the project, including, but not limited to, APIs, interfaces, and new applications.
  • Test units of work related to the support and maintenance for the Nevada Tax Center, TAS, Interfaces, and Business Intelligence.
  • Contribute to the support and preparations for modernization efforts.
  • Contribute to the support and preparations for legislation efforts.
  • Organizing and attending various department meetings.

DELIVERABLES

  • Document questions and discoveries found during evaluation.
  • Create, modify, and track all required development documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Create necessary technical design documents.
  • Create necessary use cases, test case, and/or testing outlines.
  • Provide a concise weekly status report of work completed and work remaining on assigned tasks.
