This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can quickly understand business needs, and is motivated to deliver efficient, fit-for-purpose solutions-ranging from lightweight bespoke applications built in hours, to more traditional SQL-driven data engineering assignments. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you will collaborate closely with business analysts, the Data & Analytics team, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance, and support a high volume of lightweight, business-specific automation tools using Vibe coding and AI-assisted development practices.
  • Conduct data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and ETL/Python development.
  • Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging across SQL, Python, and lightweight applications.
  • Provide both business and technical analysis for data-centric and automation-focused initiatives.
  • Contribute to data modeling, warehouse design discussions, and documentation.
  • Deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing speed with quality and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Python skills, including automation and data ingestion patterns.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate creation of bespoke applications.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, etc.) and integration methods (flat files, APIs/web services).
