Job Summary
Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an Application Systems Analyst II to support a portfolio of clinical and business applications that help drive patient care, operational services, and administrative functions. This role serves as a key technical and solutions-focused resource, partnering with hospital departments, vendors, and Information Systems teams to support, maintain, optimize, and enhance hospital applications and related integrations.

About the Role
Working with a high degree of independence, the Analyst II troubleshoots application issues, implements system improvements, supports upgrades, and contributes to new technology initiatives. The role also leads and coordinates small-to-medium projects, participates in system implementations and integrations, and helps ensure application solutions are reliable, effective, and aligned with the operational needs of Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
• Review system requirements and business processes; test, debug, and implement software solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans and perform software quality assurance activities.
• Provide ongoing support for software applications by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
• Train end users on software applications and develop end-user documentation.
• Run reports, update tables, and complete tasks associated with the ongoing operation of the software environment.
• Partner with hospital departments, vendors, and Information Systems teams to support application maintenance, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
• Lead and coordinate small-to-medium projects and participate in system implementations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activities, issues, priorities, and updates.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems required.
  • Experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in the development, support, or operation of software applications required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other common office productivity solutions.
  • If utilizing Epic, ability to obtain required certifications as outlined by program requirements.
