A Brief Overview

The Applications Analyst will assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of automated administrative and/or clinical systems. Assists with designing systems to create an integrated health information system. Assists in the evaluation of vendor proposals and systems for compatibility. Responsible for troubleshooting systems to insure system integrity.

What you will do
  • Monitors the operational efforts in the analysis and design of existing and proposed applications.
  • Maintains existing information systems through development of policies and procedures.
  • Follows standards of systems analysis and definition or user requirements as designed.
  • Assists team members and leaders in solving operational problems, design methods, and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity and control of these operations.
  • Assists in various areas of IT with report writing requirements.
  • Assists in the creation of application interfaces between hospital, clinical, and practice management systems through the use of the interface engines.
  • Manages system enhancements and provides timetable for completion.
  • Possesses the ability to take responsibility for projects from start to finish.
  • Assists in the deployment of annual and long-range plans for systems needed and budgeting purposes for the department.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's in related area.
  • Two years related experience and/or training.
