Full Job Description
Your Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Application Administrator with a strong focus on finance to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance (including upgrades, patching), configuration, and operation of our software, platforms, and other resources. In addition, our Application Administrators also work with internal and external audit groups to ensure compliance.

Some examples of the applications we use at Stantec are: Oracle eBusiness Suite, BlackLine, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Deltek Vantagepoint, the Atlassian suite of products, Quest Toad and Stat, ConfigSnapshot, Globalscape, and Automic just to name a few.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Configuration/System Maintenance: Complete requests for configurations such as tax rates, fixed asset categories, currency rates, HRMS jobs/grades, general ledger chart of accounts and rollups, cross validation rules, etc.
  • Period End: Perform period end activities including organization changes such as GL segments, rollups, etc.
  • Year End: Perform year end activities.
  • Assurance Services: Working with the internal and external audit groups to review the reliability and integrity of information systems. We ensure compliance with Stantec's process and policies and help to review the controls in place to effectively mitigate risks.
  • Quarterly review of security (user access) controls
  • Regularly review our roles / privileges in Fusion apps.
  • Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
  • Configuration Implementation: Responsible for the implementation of configuration changes for various applications
  • Licensing Monitoring: Monitor our usages for various applications, perform usage audits, and create licensing requirements for future growth.
  • Security Management: User and role provisioning in non-production environments following our IT Access Procedures and Authorities Matrix (where applicable).
  • Environment Management: Work with delivery teams and project managers to coordinate environment refreshes, perform pre- and post-refresh steps.
  • Patch and Upgrade Management: Work with the delivery teams to manage and install quarterly patches, updates, and upgrades to keep our application environments current and functioning optimally.
  • Automation: Scheduling and monitoring an application's processing and addressing performance issues.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to our applications including configurations, procedures, and licensing guides.
  • Service Catalog Maintenance: Maintain Stantec's service catalog.

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in information systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Finance and/or accounting background an asset
  • Experience implementing in Oracle Fusion Cloud an asset.

Pay Range:
• Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario-$68,200.00 - $98,900.00 Annually
• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$72,300.00 - $104,800.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
