Appl. Portfolio Manager 2 (Overland Park, KS - Onsite)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all technology maintenance andend-user support needs for deployed enterprise engineering systems areresolved in a timely manner; driving continuous improvement and Root CauseAnalysis (RCA) and Corrective Action opportunities as needed.
  • Define and maintain application &technology roadmaps which ensure deployed solutions are secure, resilient,scalable, and aligned with vendor lifecycles & the overall portfoliostrategy.
  • Partner with business, technical, andsoftware/service providers to translate business & technology needsinto potential solutions with costs/benefits analysis, achievable projecttimelines, and standard deployment architectures.
  • Manage relationships with key softwareproviders such as Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, AVEVA, Esri, and more toachieve client business outcomes through vendor solutions andservices.
  • Lead and develop a small team responsiblefor executing work within the portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of workin alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.
  • Provide oversight to IT service providersto ensure engineering systems are continuously available, performant, andsupported per business needs, IT policies, and contracted KPIs/SLAs.
  • Collaborate with business/disciplinestakeholders to package and deploy application updates to client workstationswhich keep engineering client applications current and free of defects orvulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with business owners, softwareproviders, and client software procurement teams to ensure applicationsare continuously rationalized, licenses are right-sized, and contractsrenewed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experiencemanaging the application lifecycle for desktop, cloud, and hostedengineering solutions from key software providers: Autodesk, Bentley,Hexagon, AVEVA, Esri, etc.
  • Experiencein the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry
  • Backgroundin designing, building and maintaining enterprise design and modelingenvironments
  • Experiencewith mapping a solution's recommended deployment application architectureinto high-level architectures which align with enterprise standards
  • Clientfocus and proven ability to solve business problems through theappropriate application of technology
  • Understandingof cross-disciplinary AEC workflows and project execution in CAD/CAEtechnologies.
  • Capabilityto multi-task and effectively prioritize within a multi-taskingenvironment
  • Abilityto prioritize tasks independently and deliver to expectations as agreedwith stakeholder/requester
  • Excellentverbal, writing and presentation skills targeted to all levels ofleadership
  • Experienceleading small technical teams in an operational environment.
  • Understandingof and experience with the software development lifecycle andmethodologies
  • Enterprisedata and systems integration experience
  • Softwareand systems architecture design, cloud services, and hosting experience
  • Experiencemanaging third party SaaS and application hosting platforms
  • Understandingof application packaging and deployment technologies and practices viaSCCM
  • Experiencewith service ServiceNow reporting/ITIL service management framework.
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+years progressive experience in IT, engineering and constructionpractices, and engineering applications including leading large-scaleprojects and initiatives in a complex organization
