ICF is actively seeking a Junior Appian Developer with a strong interest in building efficient, scalable application solutions to join our development team. This role supports the design, development, and maintenance of Appian applications under the guidance of senior developers and architects. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, a solid technical foundation, and a commitment to achieving Appian certification.
Responsibilities:Appian Development- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand business and technical requirements
- Design, develop, configure, and deploy Appian applications in accordance with project specifications
- Build workflows, interfaces, and data integrations using Appian Process Modeler and related platform components
Technical Design & Documentation- Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications for Appian solutions
- Support development of custom components or Java plug-ins as required
- Work closely with architects and senior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance guidelines
Testing & Quality Assurance- Conduct unit testing and support system and integration testing activities
- Identify, document, and remediate defects, bugs, and performance issues in a timely manner
Continuous Learning & Improvement- Stay current with Appian platform updates, features, and industry best practices
- Participate in training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions to expand technical skills and platform expertise
Communication & Collaboration- Communicate effectively with business analysts, project managers, developers, and end users
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment to support successful project delivery
Required Skills:- 2+ years of professional experience on a large technical project
- 1+ year(s) of hands-on Appian experience
- Bachelor's degree
- US Citizenship or Green Card is required (required by the federal government for this position).
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply
Preferred Skills:- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
- Working knowledge of Java programming for Appian custom plugins
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Appian certification or a defined target date to obtain Appian certification for experienced developers new to Appian
Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,499.00 - $138,549.00
