Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Subject Matter Expert (SME)-Infrastructure Engineer with a strong Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) focus to design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade APM capabilities in support of reliability, scalability, and customer experience objectives. This role blends hands-on APM expertise with direct engagement alongside internal stakeholders and customers to deliver tailored observability solutions in real-world environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on engineering, configuration, and operational excellence of APM tooling, instrumentation, and telemetry pipelines, while also acting as a forward deployed partner embedding within teams to solve complex performance challenges. You will translate strategic vision into practical, repeatable monitoring solutions and rapidly adapt them to specific use cases.

Success in this position means driving measurable improvements in application reliability, operational resilience, and stakeholder confidence through consistent, high-quality APM implementations. This role is expected to materially reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-resolve performance issues, strengthen proactive issue identification, and equip engineering, product, and business stakeholders with timely, actionable insights that improve decision-making and service outcomes. A key measure of impact is the ability to turn bespoke solutions into reusable, enterprise-ready patterns that accelerate adoption, improve scalability, and increase the overall maturity of observability practices across the organization.

This position is office-centric 5 days a week in one of our Truist hub locations.
