Anticipated, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Central Office Anticipated Start: February 1, 2026
DESCRIPTION Anticipated, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, in accordance with Board policies, New Jersey Statutes, and guided by the regulations of the Superintendent, is the District-wide instructional leader overseeing the development, assessment, implementation and evaluation of curriculum as well as experience supervising student support services, educational technology, and districtwide initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Appropriate New Jersey Certification required.
- A minimum of three years successful administrative and/or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and program evaluation.
- Thorough understanding of applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including Title IX, ADA/504, IDEA, HIB, and QSAC.
- Knowledge and experience related to Career and Technical Education (CTE), special education, and student support services.
- Demonstrated ability to advance innovative educational technology and lead districtwide technology and instructional initiatives.
- Experience leading and implementing district wide programs, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong knowledge of current educational practices, instructional strategies, assessment systems, and emerging trends in education.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 12 - Month Contract.
COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $210,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.
