Description
Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR), a member of the Shee Atiká (SAI) Family of Companies, is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead entity contract and subcontract administration across ANR. This role provides strategic oversight of the full contract lifecycle from pre-award to closeout, supervises the Contracts Administrators assigned to each company. This role will primarily serve as the key advisor to executive leadership on contractual risk, compliance posture, and business strategy.
This position supports a diverse federal contract portfolio and requires strong experience managing risk, interpreting FAR/DFARS requirements, supporting DoD and civilian agency customers, and standardizing contract administration practices.
Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Directly supervise, mentor, and prioritize workload for Contract Administrators assigned across entities
- Support Business Development by reviewing and approving NDAs, teaming agreements, proposal compliance requirements Reps & Certs, OCI inputs, and contractual risk items
- Make entity recommendations to President/GM and executive leadership regarding risk posture, negotiation strategy, and contractual obligations
- Lead review of contract awards for accuracy, including CLIN structure, pricing alignment, period of performance, FAR/DFARS requirements, and internal implementation readiness
- Oversee administration of contract and subcontract modifications, funding updates, closeouts, and contract file documentation
- Coordinate with Finance and Project Controls to validate funding, invoicing requirements, contract data accuracy, revenue impacts, and audit readiness
- Lead issuance, negotiation, and administration strategy for subcontracts and vendor agreements, ensuring appropriate flowdown of contractual requirements
- Communicate complex contract terms, risks, and obligations to non-contract stakeholders in practical business language
- Develop internal process improvements, templates, checklists, and documentation standards to support audit compliance and enterprise consistency
Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. CitizenCandidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in business, finance, contracts, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree- Candidate must have at least 10 years of progressive experience supporting federal government contracts and/or subcontracts; 12+ years preferred for enterprise-level manager scope
- Direct supervision experience managing or mentoring contracts personnel or junior-level team members
- In-depth experience with contract types including FFP, CPFF, T&M, LH, IDIQ, and task/delivery order structures
- Strong working knowledge of FAR (and RFO), DFARS, SBA/8(a), CFR, and federal contracting principles, and contract lifecycle governance
- Experience leading contract award reviews, modifications, funding actions, negotiations, risk mitigation, and closeout activities
- CFCM (NCMA) or similar certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across distributed teams
Desired knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Minimum Secret Security Clearance strongly desired
- Experience working in an 8(a) or ANC environment with multiple affiliated companies or subsidiaries
- Experience with Unanet ERP/CRM systems, SharePoint, and contract repository/data management practices
- Experience supporting GSA MAS, GWAC, IDIQ, DoD, and civilian agency contract vehicles
- Strong negotiation, executive communication, risk analysis, and business advisory skills
- Experience supporting distributed teams, multiple programs, and high-volume contract portfolios
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining compliance discipline

$130,000.00 - $165,000.00
