As a process specialist in Anode Materials, you will contribute to business development efforts and supporting projects from concept through detailed engineering.
Typical scope of work can include:
Responsiblities:
- Testwork, piloting, demonstration and commercial plant scale-up;
- Conduct studies (concept/PFS/feasibility) including:
o Development of work plans, design basis, process flow diagrams and P&ID development
o Ability to review/guide the development of mass and energy balances and process simulations
o Perform independently and/or review design calculations, datasheets, control philosophies and other engineering deliverables
o Contribute in developing CAPEX/OPEX estimates
- Execution including detailed engineering, EPCM delivery and participation in design-supply models as required
- Commissioning, ramp-up and operational support
- Participation to market studies, financial and/or business case analyses
- Plant troubleshooting audits
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-10 years of professional experience in the process design of battery-grade anode graphite, spherical coated graphite, Li foil anode, silicon-infused graphite and/or silicon or related commodities, as well as CAM products such as NMC or LFP.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Professional Engineering license is preferred
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with technical studies and design is preferred
- Ability to manage client relationships and strong business development skills, strong network in anode materials market space
- Experience in preparation of technical proposals for Clients

Location: The role can be based in one of Hatch's global offices, preferably in Mississauga, Ontario, but alternative office locations can be discussed.
Base salary range: $140,000 - $150,000
