The Department of Anesthesia of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) seeks additional energetic and dedicated locum pediatric anesthesiologists to join our team of forty members.

Eligible applicants hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesiology and are eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.

Victoria provides tertiary pediatric services for Vancouver Island. We require an experienced pediatric anesthesiologist, preferably with Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia, to join two other Pediatric anesthesiologists. The surgical team is supported by pediatric intensive care and neonatal units.

The practice is not exclusively pediatric but also includes the opportunity to care for adult patients in a wide variety of areas

We are a growing academic department providing services integrated across two tertiary hospital sites in Victoria. Affiliated with the University of British Columbia, and the Island Medical Program, responsibilities will include both direct clinical care and teaching of medical students and residents.

The Vancouver Island Health Authority provides comprehensive and progressive healthcare services to over 750,000 residents of Vancouver Island.
