Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Anesthesiology Physician, you will join our collaborative team at Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) in downtown Seattle. Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Anesthesiologist. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

  • Surgical specialties include OB, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Trauma, ENT as well as Gastroenterology,
  • Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, and NeuroInterventional Radiology.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
  • Stay current with research and best practices in Anesthesiology to provide evidence-based care

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Two years of experience
  • Active Washington State Medical License, or eligible for licensure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients and families

Preferred

  • Additional Fellowship training
  • Interest in teaching
  • EPIC experience
