JOB DESCRIPTION

If you are passionate about using financial analysis and data-driven insights to support strategic decisions, improve business performance, and optimize financial outcomes, we want you to join our team. 

As an Analytics Solutions Associate within the Corporate Financial Analysis team at JPMorganChase, you will serve as a finance analytics partner supporting business decision-making, operational improvement, and financial performance management. You will work closely with finance leaders, clients, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand priorities, investigate business questions, and translate financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations. 

 

This role combines a strong finance foundation with hands-on analytics. You will use SQL, Databricks, Anaplan, and related analytical tools to access, validate, analyze, and interpret complex data. You will also help troubleshoot data and reporting issues across systems, improve existing processes, and adopt new tools as the organization expands its analytics, automation, and AI capabilities. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Perform financial and operational analyses to identify trends, drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommendations that support business decisions and financial outcomes. 
  • Partner with finance leaders, clients, and business stakeholders to understand priorities, define analytical needs, and provide clear, timely decision support. 
  • Use SQL and Databricks to source, validate, organize, and analyze large and complex datasets with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and translate analytical findings into clear business narratives, visualizations, and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Investigate and help resolve data, reporting, and process issues across multiple systems by partnering with technology teams and subject-matter experts and support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting, performance analysis, planning, and management deliverables while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen financial analytics, reporting processes, and controls. 
  • Build trusted relationships across finance, business, and technology teams and coordinate work across functions to advance shared objectives and adopt new analytical tools and methods and contribute to the team’s continued evolution toward more automated and AI-enabled capabilities. 

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, financial analysis, FP&A, finance transformation, business analytics, reporting, strategy, business management, or a related finance-focused analytical role. 
  • Demonstrated finance experience and understanding of financial statements, financial drivers, performance metrics, planning, forecasting, reporting, or operational expense management. 
  • Proficiency writing SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and analyze data and hands-on experience using Databricks in a data analysis, reporting, or financial decision-support environment. 
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions with strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and technical information clearly. 
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into concise narratives, recommendations, and presentation materials that support decision-making and experience collaborating across finance, business, and technology functions in a matrixed environment with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables with urgency and accuracy with curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies, troubleshoot technical issues, and expand technical capabilities over time. 

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or another complex financial environment. 
  • Experience with Alteryx, Anaplan, advanced Excel, or similar analytics and visualization tools. 
  • Experience supporting finance process improvement, reporting modernization, data-quality, or automation initiatives. 
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, automation tools, or emerging technology solutions.
