The Opportunity

As an Analytics Manager within our Data, Digital, and Analytics (DDA) team, you will serve as a strategic thought partner and technical builder empowering Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) leaders to make high-impact, data-driven decisions. In this role, you will bridge advanced data science with organizational strategy, designing predictive models to forecast future enterprise skill capabilities and developing scalable data pipelines connecting learning and business datasets to measurable performance outcomes.
  • Design, train, and validate predictive machine learning models and applied statistical algorithms to forecast organizational skill demands and evaluate business performance impact.
  • Architect, enhance, and maintain automated ETL data pipelines integrating varied, complex structured and unstructured data sources across cloud environments.
  • Partner cross-functionally with CMG stakeholders to define strategic measurement frameworks, translate complex business questions into analytical roadmaps, and influence decision-making.
  • Build intuitive data visualization tools, executive dashboards, and user-centric UI/UX interfaces in Tableau and Dataiku to drive self-service analytics.
  • Establish and monitor reliable API integrations (including Workday connections to data lakes) and cloud-based object storage for robust data ingestion and warehousing.
  • Champion FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles and ensure strict adherence to enterprise compliance, security, and governance standards.


Who you are
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Bring 3+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data management, and/or data engineering, preferably within biotech, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and applied experience building, deploying, and evaluating machine learning models.
  • Possess proven experience developing scalable ETL pipelines, working with relational databases, and utilizing cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
  • Display outstanding communication and stakeholder-consulting skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business impact.


Preferred
  • Master's or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Direct experience handling learning record stores, workforce metrics, and Workday API integrations.
  • Working familiarity with enterprise data science and visualization platforms such as Dataiku, Spotfire, PowerBI, or R Shiny.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading technical initiatives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Practical knowledge of UI/UX design principles applied to analytical dashboard creation.


Location
  • This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 day per week on campus

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $XXX -$XXX. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
