Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The Analytics Engineer II supports the Service Management Organization (SMO) by transforming business requirements into scalable analytical work products. This role focuses on developing AI and data science tooling, high-quality dashboards, self-service analytics, and data driven insights using modern BI platforms, cloud-based AI/ML services, and enterprise data products. Working in partnership with SMO leadership, ITG, and business stakeholders, the engineer leverages advanced analytics tooling-including generative AI platforms, automation frameworks, and modern data engineering practices to improve operational performance and enable decision making. This individual will participate in large-scale development projects as well as collaborating with stakeholders on ad-hoc reporting and analytics needs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, enhance, and maintain analytic data products and models using modern BI and AI-powered platforms ( Dynatrace, GCP Vertex Platform).
• Work collaboratively with the business to understand needs and translate these requirements into actionable and effective work products
• Work closely with SMO Leaders and the broader Information Technology Group (ITG) organization to assist in ad-hoc analytical support needs.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge regarding the build of generative AI solutions including parsing/chunking, Retrieval-Augmented Generator (RAG), semantic modelling, and other design approaches to help ground models in operational data
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, SQL)
• Leverage GCP MLOps workflows to perform model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Demonstrate and understanding of Agile development methods and tools
• Use Git/Github, Terraform, and CI/CD tools (e.g. Docker) to manage solution deployment
• Support new reporting initiatives and applications by gaining an understanding of the underlying data models and designing reports for new applications.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organization, documentation, and self-direction.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of hospital operations, strategy, and other growth functions and the various data points and systems surrounding these areas.
• Contribute to the success of strategic initiatives through innovation, creativity, and continued quality and process improvement.
• Seek out analytic best practices and help scale them where appropriate.
• Provide training and user education on developed solutions
• Apply knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) concepts
• Participates in ITG and SMO departmental project activities or other duties as assigned; such as attending project meetings, testing, developing or reviewing documentation and support procedures, supporting implementations, etc.
