Analytical Chemist

If you are passionate about analytical science and enjoy solving complex challenges through laboratory research, this opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. As an Analytical Chemist, you will support product development and business initiatives through advanced testing, method development, and scientific analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate results, improve laboratory capabilities, and help drive innovation. This position is primarily based in a laboratory setting and requires regular onsite collaboration to support testing activities, equipment operation, and project execution.

What You'll Do
• Perform analytical testing on flavor and food-related samples using a variety of laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Independently operate HPLC-DAD/ELSD and various HPLC instrumentation for all flavor analysis needs.
• Develop non-volatile HPLC methods - procedures for both beverage and food products with focus on natural color inherent flavor non- volatiles.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all HPLC systems, along with improve and implement laboratory methods and standard operating procedures.
• Deliver accurate, timely data and insights to support product development, quality, and business objectives.
• Lead initiatives that enhance laboratory efficiency, data management, workflow, and analytical capabilities
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate technical findings to stakeholders and customers when needed.
• Support laboratory safety, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Bring
• Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry with 5+ years of experience in food / flavor analytical chemistry or related field
• Experience working in analytical chemistry, food science, flavor science, or a related laboratory environment
• Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation and laboratory testing techniques.
• Ability to develop methods, interpret complex data, and provide clear scientific recommendations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Commitment to laboratory safety, quality standards, and continuous learning.

Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
