Overview

Who We're Looking For

Toyota's Project Planning and Management Department (PPM) is looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and highly organized Analyst for our Project Management group.

Reporting to the Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage a new model project with the responsibility for coordinating and utilizing all stakeholders to ensure successful, on-time production launch of North American Produced Vehicles and Powertrains.

What You'll Be Doing

Essential responsibilities:
  • Creation of strategy for core activities: develop a plan of action for assigned projects and tasks to ensure timely execution with quality built-in.
  • Cross functional daily coordination: lead multiple stakeholders (including various Toyota functions, suppliers and global headquarters) through project activities to achieve KPIs.
  • Summary and escalation: clear and concise visualization and presentation of project condition, risk and outlook to project stakeholders including executives.
  • Problem solving: organize working groups to gather information, utilize strong analytical thinking, prepare insights and recommendations for decisions.
  • Process standardization: support department in development and execution of Standard Operating Procedures; propose and implement process improvements.


Typical activities:
  • Daily management of project schedule and milestones: creation, coordination and tracking.
  • Understanding and visualization of project status, potential risks and action plans.
  • Timely and thorough follow up on project related issues, including continuous communication with stakeholders.
  • Execution of activities supporting other functions such as Manufacturing and/or Design (e.g. accessory installation study, concern parts follow up, trial build coordination, etc.).


Technical work:
  • Coordination and processing of Engineering Change Instructions (ECI): understand and communicate technical information, coordinate implementation with team (manufacturing/supplier/quality), process information in appropriate systems.
  • Parts list set up, maintenance and technical information troubleshooting in appropriate systems.
  • Emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in supply chain, manufacturing planning or operations.
  • Professional experience coordinating cross-functional projects including project creation, schedule management and tracking through completion.
  • Self-driven, independent work experience effectively managing multiple short- and long-term tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), ability to deliver complex information clearly and concisely across cultures and organizational boundaries.
  • Critical thinking, identifying risks/gaps, generating potential solutions and evaluating impact.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (min intermediate level, descriptions below)
  • Ability to Travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to work over-time up to 10%
  • Ability to work on site 3 days/week or more (Corporate Policy subject to change)

  • Professional experience in fields related to supply chain, manufacturing planning, engineering, quality or product planning.
  • Professional certifications (PMP, Lean Sigma, Scrum Master).
  • TBP completion through panel (Toyota Team Members Only).
  • JKK completion (Toyota Team Members Only).
  • Experience independently developing & presenting material to executive management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint to create effective presentations, including but not limited to slide design, animations, incorporating quality visuals.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Project, Monday.com or similar Project Management software.
