Full Job Description
Analyst, Investor Relations

San Antonio, TX

General Summary and Purpose:

The Analyst, Investor Relations will be a core member of Victory Capital's IR and Responsible Business team, reporting to the Director, Investor Relations & Responsible Business. The role is predominantly investor relations, with support for wider team priorities including the annual meeting, proxy voting and community engagement.

This is a hands-on execution role. Alongside the analytical and strategic work, a significant share of the job is the detail that makes an IR program run: scheduling, logistics, databases, trackers, proofreading, tie-outs and keeping content current. We want someone who works hard, moves fast, gets the small things right and utilizes AI confidently to do more, faster. We work hard, and we recognize and reward the people who do the same this role offers real career growth for the right person.

You Will:

Earnings and Financial Analysis

  • Support the quarterly earnings cycle: timeline, checklist and logistics, drafting and proofreading materials, and tying out every number to source
  • Maintain VCTR model and data files; collect and monitor consensus estimates, analyst models and research, and flag changes and themes
  • Conduct peer benchmarking and summarize peer earnings; prepare summaries on share price, trading, news and sector developments

Shareholders, Targeting and Engagement

  • Track shareholder composition and ownership changes using filings, surveillance data and FactSet
  • Maintain a target list of investors and scope outreach, including investor profiles, briefing notes and tracking of results
  • Work with sell-side analysts and their teams to organize the investor engagement calendar, including roadshows, conferences and meetings, and handle the logistics end to end: invites, travel, dial-ins, briefing books and follow-up
  • Take meeting notes, log all interactions in the IR CRM, keep distribution lists current and respond to incoming requests
  • Monitor passive investors and index inclusion, including index membership, rebalance calendars, eligibility thresholds and their impact on passive demand

Communications, Brand and the IR Website

  • Develop materials that support the company's profile, including investor presentations, factsheets, press releases, media materials and presentations on strategic projects for internal and external consumption
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications on the wider corporate narrative, to ensure messaging and materials are consistent with the Victory Capital brand
  • Support the build-out of the new IR website and own its ongoing maintenance, keeping content, filings and events current

Strategy, Proxy and Responsible Business

  • Support the development and execution of the IR strategy and draft updates for senior management
  • Support annual meeting and proxy preparation, including proxy statement tie-out, proxy advisor reports, vote monitoring and logistics
  • Support the proxy voting program, the Responsible Business report and community engagement initiatives, and other team projects as needed

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required, finance, economics, accounting, communications or a related discipline preferred; typically 2 to 4 years of experience in IR, financial analysis, research or corporate finance, ideally in financial services or asset management
  • Proficiency and confidence using AI tools to work more efficiently, with the judgment to check output and follow firm policy
  • Strong financial and analytical skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint; FactSet, Bloomberg or CRM experience a plus
  • Technical fluency paired with a creative mind able to translate financial data and strategy into presentations, factsheets and messaging that are compelling to investors, analysts and other external audiences; excellent writing and a sharp eye for detail and accuracy
  • An outgoing personality and the ability to build strong relationships with senior executives, peers, analysts and investors
  • A go-getter mindset: works hard, takes ownership and does whatever the task requires, including the unglamorous work
  • Highly organized and efficient, able to juggle many priorities and deadlines, with discretion in handling confidential information
