Job Description

The Analyst III, Chemistry Laboratory LSS evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for medical and consumer product testing purposes. After appropriate training independently conducts moderate complexity and routine sample analysis, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Conducts analytical studies of moderate complexity and routine of samples, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols. Involved in complex sample analysis.
  • Develops, reviews, submits and files reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation and other projects.
  • Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and trouble-shoots laboratory instruments / equipment.
  • Participates in development and validates analytical methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other operating, safety and quality documents for method development, transfer, and validation studies.
  • Provides technical training, advice and support to Analysts in data analysis.
  • May occasionally serve as a team lead for a specific test.
  • Investigates, responds to and follows-up on client inquiries and complaints as needed.
  • Provides technical support to Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and clients regarding testing, reporting or technical inquiries.
  • Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry or related science discipline AND
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories OR
  • Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline with 10+ years of laboratory experience
  • Master's Degree in a Chemistry discipline in combination with experience listed above
  • PhD Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline with 5+ years of laboratory experience in GMP regulated environment


Additional Information

Salary: $38.00 - $43.00/Hour
