Job Description:

This job is responsible for capturing and refining business or system requirements that may involve a software change. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyzing problems, capturing requirements, creating solutions, solving problems either manually or through software, and providing subject-matter expertise on products to support scope and requirement decisions. Job expectations include collaborating with project stakeholders to analyze and confirm requirements, creating, analyzing, and improving processes and writing user and technical stories.

  • Provides the critical technical business analysis support to build end-to-end software solutions for key financial planning and wealth management applications used by Financial Advisors - including, Personal Wealth Analysis, Client Review Center, Retirement/Channel Decision Tool.

  • Collaborates with the business, development, quality assurance, and project/program management technology stakeholders to deliver together and drive growth through the successful software development, quality assurance testing, and production implementation of new roadmap functionality for advisor-facing and client facing applications.

  • In partnership with the key business and technology team members, collaboratively focus on timely and prompt investigation and research for root causes and fixes to remediate/resolve issues reported in production and test environments

Responsibilities:

  • Understands stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem

  • Supports cost and benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy

  • Gathers and catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests

  • Identifies the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assists with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design

  • Assists users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs

  • Documents processes, procedures and workflows for technology as needed

  • Acts as a proxy Product Owner for multiple lines of business.

  • Acts as a liaison between business units and the Agile teams and supports the software development of the business functions and technical enablers (analytic and data services) for value streams and products.

  • Works with the Product Owners to define requirements/stories; reviews, analyzes and evaluates business user needs to ensure that the product is compliant with all Bank standards and policies.

  • Analyzes, interprets, defines, and documents detailed requirements and acceptance criteria in features and user stories by collaborating with the business and technology teams, and third party/other interfaces or partners.

  • Supports the prioritization, software development and delivery of user stories within the sprints for each program increment and validates the user stories against acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborates with Product Owners/Product Managers and to reproduce, detail, document, and resolve reported defects

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in information technology (IT)

  • 7+ years of experience as a product owner/technical business analyst with expertise in different technologies, business areas, and end-to-end application analysis

  • Systems background and understanding of Wealth Management, Financial/Retirement Planning, historical investment performance, asset classification

  • Skillful in gathering/analyzing requirements/features, and hands on experience in writing and presenting creating high level designs, and process flows/workflows, and detailed software requirements specifications for the following: 1) Analytic calculation logic, financial projections, tax calculations and other complex calculations; 2) User interface (UI) requirements; 3) Report and UI analysis results; 4) Data models and requirements; 5) Batch data feeds

  • Solid understanding of multi-tiered technology solutions with experience in end-to-end design and development of comprehensive solutions for integration with multiple applications and third-party vendors

  • Hands-on experience as a technical business/systems analyst with proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
