JOB DESCRIPTION
The Digital Product Analyst, Epic Aura plays a critical role in supporting the product lifecycle, execution, and continuous optimization of Epic Aura lab integrations and supporting interoperability solutions. Working closely with the Senior Digital Product Manager for Epic Aura, cross-functional Agile delivery teams, and interoperability stakeholders, the analyst translates customer insights, clinical lab workflows, and strategic product roadmaps into well-defined features and user stories.
The ideal candidate bridges business and technical teams by sifting through workflow data, capturing Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback from ordering and performing organizations, and ensuring Agile teams deliver high-value integration capabilities that streamline clinical lab ordering and result delivery across the Quest network.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Agile Delivery & Backlog Execution
- Feature & Story Definition: Capture, define, and write detailed features and user stories for Epic Aura integrations and interoperability network tools, aligned to clear Definitions of Ready (DoR) and Definitions of Done (DoD).
- Agile Team Partnership: Partner closely with Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Scrum teams, software engineers, and quality assurance to guide refinement, sizing, sprint planning, and delivery of user stories.
- Execution & Roadblock Resolution: Actively drive sprint-level execution by addressing clarifying questions from engineers, adding technical and business detail, evaluating acceptance criteria, and clearing operational roadblocks.
Epic Aura & Interoperability Domain Focus
- Integration Journey Optimization: Support the end-to-end client and partner experience across the Epic Aura orders and results lifecycle.
- Franchise & Test Enablement Support: Collaborate with clinical franchise teams to support the launch and configuration of new diagnostic test products and specialized integration workflows, simplifying provider access and time-to-market.
- Epic & Interoperability Ecosystem Alignment: Assist in analyzing Epic Aura release notes, system capabilities, and interoperability tooling to identify opportunities for automation, self-service onboarding, and standardized messaging.
Research, Data Modeling & Customer Insights
- Voice of the Customer (VOC): Gather, evaluate, and synthesize feedback from ordering client health systems, internal operations, and commercial teams to pinpoint integration pain points, expectations, and adoption barriers.
- Product & Adoption Analytics: Track, monitor, and analyze how client health systems utilize Epic Aura features; evaluate adoption metrics, order drop-offs, and result delivery performance to validate product-market fit.
- Business Case & Opportunity Assessment: Partner with product management and business stakeholders to develop effort-vs.-benefit models, evaluating whether specific features or automation tools warrant engineering investment.
- Market & Workflow Research: Benchmark industry EHR interoperability trends, competitive connectivity solutions, and regulatory changes to inform product roadmap refinement.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience:
- 3 6 years of progressive experience in a Digital Product Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related technical product role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum framework, actively authoring user stories, managing acceptance criteria, and participating in team ceremonies.
Preferred Work Experience:
- 1 3 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical diagnostics, laboratory operations, or electronic health record (EHR) interoperability.
- Familiarity with Epic EHR ecosystems, specifically Epic Aura, orders/results workflows, or HL7/FHIR messaging standards.
- Experience supporting Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments or Agile Release Trains.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Customer Journey Management and Digital Product Management. (Knowledge of Digital Service Management beneficial.)
- Knowledge of relevant market trends with the ability to identify opportunities.
- Knowledge of 'VOC' and Customer analytics technologies.
- Agile development methodology knowledge desired.
- Healthcare or clinical lab industry knowledge beneficial.
- Awareness of change management principles.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field. Equivalent work experience can substitute for the degree.
