Full Job Description
Summary:

Seeking an experienced SeniorAnalyst to join the Data Admin team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of various enterprise-wide applications. This includes the creation, maintenance, and archiving of all referential Master Data to ensure integrity and uniformity across various business groups. Must be comfortable interacting with other departments within the company, as well as external customers and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support various enterprise applications, including SAP/IS-OIL, Synthesis, eXSite/Dearman, PFIS, T4, Pipeline Scheduler, WellTrax, RightAngle, OceanSmart Smart Vetting, and Aveva.
  • Perform application configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to optimize performance, efficiency, and security.
  • Create, maintain, and archive referential and master data to ensure consistency and integrity across all business groups.
  • Understand and manage multi-tier software environments, including front-end interfaces, middleware, and backend databases.
  • Manage middleware interface applications and cross-reference tables to support integration across systems.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors, customers, and internal departments, including Pipeline Operations, Terminals, Crude Trucking, measurement, scheduling, Finance, Business Development, Accounting, and IT.
  • Document and capture referential data management processes to ensure requirements are met according to corporate compliance. Must understand and adhere to strict control procedures to ensure proper SOX validation, controls, and reporting.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Quick learner and possess a strong desire to understand underlying business processes to move the company forward. Ability to provide and receive input during problem-solving sessions.


  • Work hours will include "on-call" support, including some nights and weekend hours. Team members rotate weeks for after-hours support, including urgent emergency incidents (server patches, reboots, etc.).


  • The candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and a willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.


  • Be a trusted advisor, help the business make informed decisions by presenting relevant system solutions and alternatives for key challenges, and evaluate the business and system impact of proposed changes.


  • Strong customer relations skills and the ability to work within the department with management, external departments, and consultants


  • Solid time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects & meet deadlines, and function independently & efficiently in a fast-paced environment


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong relationship management skills


  • Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Excel, etc.)


  • General knowledge of accounting information systems, business operations, processes, and information flow

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
